The Epic Storm and the Stuff I Did During The Epic Storm
We were away from school last Friday due to a severe storm that that forced people in doors and cut power to lots of homes. The following is a piece of writing created from motivation...
It was a pretty normal Thursday. I had just come back from school and was watching TV with my younger brother and sister. After that I did some Hunter work. Outside I could hear the wind swirling around and when I looked out the window one of our really big trees was bending in ways I never knew were possible. Another unusual thing was that some of the lights were flickering. I was Hoping that the power wouldn't go out because I wan't to watch Man vs Wild at 7:30pm.
Luckily the power didn't go out before 7:30pm but sadly it went out about 10 minutes later. I was really annoyed because it was an episode I hadn't seen and Bear Grylls was in New Zealand. Since we had to do Hunter up to chapter 15 the next day I had to light a candle and finish my work. It was extremely cold because our heaters had obviously gone off with the power. After I had finished all of Hunter I decided to go to bed.
I slept till about 7:30am. When I flicked the light switch I hoped that the light would turn on. It didn't. I went downstairs and played on my PSP till the battery died. I couldn't charge it so I had to do something else for a while. I could still hear the wind and the rain roaring outside. I hoped that school would be cancelled because I was meant to be on patrol and it would be torture standing outside for half an hour. In the end I decided to go to school because I hand't heard that it was cancelled on the radio and there would be no point sitting inside all day waiting for the power to come back on.
When I got to school Miss Heatley told me that we weren't having patrol. The only other kids at school were Cassidy and Solomon. I only stayed there for a little while because hardly anyone was there and there was no point staying at school. I went home again to get changed out of my school uniform and went to my Grandma's house because she now had power. We went to the bakery to get a pie and for lunch and then went into my grandma's house. I got a mince and cheese pie.
When we got back home the power was on so I played XBOX 360 for a while. Then I went to bed. In the morning I played on my PSP. The game I played was NBA 2K 13. I also watched TV. The storm wasn't so bad now. The wind wasn't so strong but there was still heavy rain. Dom invited me to go to the movies to go see the epic movie called After Earth. I went with Dom, Bradley, Luke, Xav, Robbie and Tom. It was a really good movie. It was a bit strange though because it was set 1 thousand years in the future and they didn't even have guns.
After that I went back home and played XBOX 360. The storm was pretty EPIC. It was a good weekend apart from the power going out when I was watching Man vs Wild.

Running Squad
This is a video of the running squad for 2013. Sadly I have not been included in this video due to my left ulna breaking 2 weeks into the running squad. I don't mean to brag but I was one of the best runners in the 'Elite' running squad. It was a shame I was not there for the 2 weeks that Mr T was videoing us. Anyway, here's the video.

All Blacks vs France
This Saturday the All Blacks are going to be playing France. The All Blacks are probably going to win all 3 tests but you never know with France. I will be watching the games at home. I hope NZ can pull off a win.
